New Season, New Styles: Autumn Shopping at Silverburn

Looking for some style inspo for the new season? Fashion blogger Caroline Cook (@carolinesstylehacks), takes us through the main fashion trends to watch out for this autumn and where you can pick them up at Silverburn.

As the days grow chillier, I’m quietly excited to see the fresh colours and textures arriving in stores. I recently visited Silverburn to check out some of my favourite shops and to explore the latest pieces for autumn.

First stop was the newly opened Mango store. It’s enormous and brimming with exciting new season items. From bold leopard prints and a fantastic selection of bags and shoes to an amazing barn-style jacket featured in my reel, there’s plenty to love. The barn jacket is a standout trend this year, perfect for effortless, casual style.

I also discovered a navy trench coat that’s softer and more versatile than the traditional black. It’s the perfect transitional piece to refresh your wardrobe.

Next, I visited AllSaints, which remains my go-to for high-quality leather jackets. My last jacket from there lasted 12 years, so it’s definitely a wish-list staple you’ll wear time and again. I was particularly drawn to this embellished option.

AllSaints also featured elevated classics, including a lightly fleece-lined black t-shirt dress, cargo trousers, and another great trench coat. These pieces can be dressed up or worn casually, offering versatile options for your wardrobe.

For footwear, I’m loving the Adidas SL72 sneakers. I wore them all summer and have just updated my collection for autumn. Head to Office to check out their selection, which also includes everything from Nike and New Balance to Doc Martens and Uggs.

At Office, you’ll also find a variety of dressier shoes suitable for everyday wear or special occasions. I was particularly taken with the Mary Jane styles, especially the red and embellished options that are featured in my reel on Instagram.

My next stop was Zara, where leopard print was everywhere. This bomber jacket is a great addition for this time of year—perfect for when it’s too warm for a heavy coat but still cool enough for an extra layer. Zara also offers plainer options that work well under a trench coat or winter coat as temperatures drop.

Kitten heels are making a strong comeback this year, and Zara has some fantastic, trendy styles that will elevate any outfit. They’re comfortable to walk in and pair effortlessly with jeans and a blazer.

Finally, I visited Next, a high-street favourite. It has a great selection of coats and shoes, including lightweight options and stylish trench coats with hoods – exactly what we need with the unpredictable Scottish weather. Check out my reel on Instagram from more options.

Next also featured embellished and colourful ballet pumps, perfect for adding a pop of colour to a casual look. Plus, they often offer half sizes, which is a bonus.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’m all about colour and currently obsessed with stripes. I found some vibrant shirt options at Next, ideal for updating your wardrobe and injecting a splash of colour into your autumn style.

With September upon us, expect new items to arrive weekly at Silverburn. If you’re in the market for a new winter coat, keep an eye out, as the best ones often come in store around this time.

Happy shopping and enjoy getting cosy!
